In the heart of Los Angeles, nestled in a bustling cityscape, lies café Persona - a gem of a coffee and tea spot that also offers delectable sandwiches. This women-owned cafe is not just a place to grab a quick bite; it's a haven where you can unwind and enjoy a cozy ambiance.

As a food reviewer of Restaurant World, I had the pleasure of visiting café Persona and trying out their menu. From their avocado toast to their ricotta toast, each dish is meticulously crafted with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. The avocado egg salad toast is a personal favorite - the combination of creamy avocado, boiled egg, and zesty lime juice is truly a treat for the taste buds.

But café Persona's offerings go beyond just toast. Their sandwiches, like the turkey sandwich and pastrami sandwich, are hearty and satisfying. The veggie sandwich, with its fresh mozzarella and crunchy veggies, is a great option for vegetarians. And if you're in the mood for something sweet, their acai bowl is a refreshing and nutritious choice.

What sets café Persona apart is not just the food, but the overall experience. The cafe exudes a sense of calm and tranquility, making it the perfect spot to catch up on emails or simply relax with a cup of coffee. The friendly staff and quick service only add to the charm of this place.

So, if you find yourself in downtown LA in need of a break from the hustle and bustle, make sure to stop by café Persona. It's a hidden gem that will leave you feeling right at home.

Came here with the recent heat wave to grab a smoothie. The smoothie isn't great, really just super watery. It's a nice size though. I will still give 5 stars because the place is nice inside and the service is good. I'd come back to try the coffee.

First time visiting a place without my little one being in my belly...so some type of caffeine was a must. Came here for a quick snack and right away I liked the ambiance. So spacious, total cafe vibe and cozy with A LOT OF SEATING. They have outlets if you're wanting to catch up on some emails, work, etc. I ordered an iced matcha with almond milk (sweetened) and a coffee cake and the price for both wasn't bad (around $11). Super nice staff, two ladies were here and they were very attentive. If I'm ever around the area I'll definitely come by again.

I stumbled upon this gem after finding out the Disney concert hall's cafeteria has been closed and I really like it. I'm a repeat customer and their coffee is fantastic both the drip coffee and the pour over. I've also had their sandwhiches the turkey and the chicken pesto and both are big portioned and very filling. Service is great always greeted with a smile and they bring the food over to you. Very relaxing vibe and atmosphere among the chaos of downtown LA.

When you need a break from the noise and bustle of downtown L.A. this is a lovely quiet and chill spot. As you enter you will enjoy the quiet or soft music, couches, pillows and low lighting. Location is across from the backside of the Dorothy chandler on first on top of the hill in a mini mall. The food offerings are breakfast, pastries, croissants, rolls, acai bowls. Lunch items include sandwiches, smoothies, acai bowls. Coffee and tea items available to order any way you like. They have veggie and vegan options. Very fresh, made to order. The service is kind, patient and welcoming. However if you're in a rush this may not be the spot for you. It's a small business and therefore staff is limited. Relax and enjoy the ambiance while you wait for food and drink.

Lovely little cafe close to the Broad Museum where we were. I placed an order for pick up thru Grubhub and I was so impressed that they didn't add ice to our drinks until we arrived, to prevent them from getting watered down. We got the Spanish latte (cinnamony with condensed milk) and the lavender latte both with oat milk. The inside of the cafe was so cute, cozy, and aesthetic. Will definitely return if we're in the area before 5 pm!

I was staying in the area and wanted to find coffee on a Saturday morning. Many spots weren't open until later in the morning. Cafe Persona opens at 9am. I was there right at 9 and there was no delay. I noticed they have food options to order, though was just looking for coffee. The space is really cute inside with fun decor and places to sit and hangout. Both beverages I ordered were prepared fresh and came out quickly. The staff was super friendly. My vanilla latte was super tasty. Their spot is also in a plaza with lots of outdoor seating. The plaza is easy to find on a corner, though I don't think they offer parking on site.

10/10. In the downtown area and had a craving for coffee. I did a quick google search for local coffee spots and Cafe Persona was only two blocks away. I walked into a beautiful little spot. It was quick and calming with light music playing in the back ground. Tables are situated next to a long bench seating area that's covered with pillows. It's too cute. Atmosphere is perfect. It was lunch time so decided to it order the turkey sandwich on sourdough with a Vietnamese cold brew. I'm always a little hesitant when ordering an turkey sandwich since they're usually very basic and over priced. This one was $13 but it was definitely worth it. The sandwich was the perfect size. I literally got two portions out of it. It was simple but delicious - turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pesto sauce, and mayo. The pesto sauce was key! The fresh and crisp sourdough also contributed to the perfect combo. Ah can't forget the presentation, they use these heavy black slabs that evaluate the food and drinks. The Vietnamese cold brew was absolute perfection for me. I drink a lot of coffee so then to like my coffee strong. This was that, strong but flavorful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Barista with short hair was sweet and helped me decide what to get. Food and drinks came out in a quick efficient manner. Honestly will probably come back within the week to keep trying out their coffee menu.

Pro: service, ambiance, drinks. Tip: 2 hour metered street parking 9 am - 4 pm. I have not been to many cafes in downtown due to the traffic and parking situation but happened to be in the area today! I came in at 9 am and found metered steer parking right in front of the shopping area. The cafe is tucked in a plaza of a downtown area that does not receive much foot traffic. I worked here with a friend and it was a very enjoyable place. Service was wonderful, we had company from Teddy the pooch , and the drinks were tasty. Drinks: they have a wonderful selection of custom made drinks. I went with the strawberry matcha and was pleasantly surprised with how refreshing and aesthetic it was. The mug it was served in was perfect and it was brought to my table which added to the great service we received. My friend tried a scone that was a bit too dry for our preference. Overall, I would recommend this cafe if you are in the area! It is spacious, drinks are refreshing, and good service.
